Maxzero is built to keep your music and your data on your device. This policy explains, in plain language, what that means.
Last updated: July 20, 2026
Maxzero does not collect, transmit, sell, or share your personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, and no advertising. Everything you import and create lives only on this device.
Your imported music files, playlists, favorites, listening history, equalizer and crossfade settings, custom album artwork, edited tags, and lyrics are all stored locally in the app. Maxzero does not sync this information to any server or to other devices.
If you grant access to your Apple Music library, Maxzero reads your media so it can play and organize it within Maxzero. It never changes anything within your Apple Music app. This access is handled entirely by Apple's frameworks on your device. Maxzero does not copy your Apple Music data off the device, and your use of Apple Music remains governed by Apple's own privacy policy.
If you turn on “Download missing album artwork,” Maxzero sends a track's title, artist, and album name to an online artwork service only to find a matching cover. No information that identifies you is sent, and any third-party service involved is used solely for this lookup. The retrieved image is stored on this device. This feature is off unless you enable it, and it never applies to Apple Music content.
The Wi-Fi transfer feature runs a small web server on your device so you can move files to and from a computer on the same local network. Files are sent directly between your device and your computer over your own network — they do not pass through Maxzero's servers, because there are none. The feature is protected by a PIN and only runs while you have it open.
Maxzero contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. We do not build a profile of you and have no way to identify you.
Because everything is stored on your device, you stay in control of it. Use “Nuclear Option” in Settings to erase all imported files and folders, playlists, favorites, and listening history, or delete the app to remove everything. You can withdraw Apple Music or local-network access at any time in the iOS Settings app.
Because Maxzero collects no personal data, it collects none from children.
